MARCO SCHAFFNER 

is a biologist and wildlife photographer based in Switzerland. He first started taking images during his biology studies in Berne, where he was doing  research on malaria parasites, using high-end microscopic techniques.

Starting photography with a macro lens, he soon discovered his passion for wildlife photography.

After finishing university with a masters’ degree in molecular biology, followed by two years of working in the industry, he decided to focus on wildlife photography full time.
